LITURGICAL SEASONS
LITURGICAL YEAR
In the Syro Malabar Church, the liturgical year is divided into nine seasons according to the life of the Christ and Church starting with Advent and ending in the dedication of the church (saved community) to the Father by Jesus Christ, the saviour.

Subara is the season of Good News, viz., the Season of the Annunciation of Salvation.

The public life of Iso-Msiha is celebrated during the Weeks of Epiphany (Denha).

The passion and Death of 'Iso-Msiha' is celebrated during the Weeks of Great Fast (Sawma Rabba).

The great evangelizing ministry of the Apostles and Disciples of Jesus is the main theme of  the Slihe season.

The growth of the Church as a faithful community is the main theme of the Qaita season.

Mementos specify the nine liturgical seasons are built in the courtyard of the church.
